Azure in Focus, August Session: Fundamentals, Incentives and Migration in 45 Minutes

More of your clients are asking about Azure. Some are staring down an ageing server. Some want to know why their IT spend jumps every time they add a user. Some have just heard that AI needs the cloud and want to know what that means for them.

The opportunity is clear. The starting point often is not.

That is why we run Azure in Focus every month. It is a short, practical session built for MSPs and IT partners who want to grow an Azure practice without wading through hours of technical theory.

Our August session runs on Thursday 27 August 2026 from 1:00 PM to 1:45 PM Adelaide time, online via Microsoft Teams.

What we are covering

1. Azure Fundamentals

We start with the basics, explained the way you would explain them to a client. What Azure actually is, why businesses are moving away from running their own servers, and how the cost model compares to buying hardware every few years.

If your team is newer to Azure, this gives them the language to open a conversation with confidence. If your team already knows Azure, it is a refresher on how to pitch it simply.

2. Azure Incentives

This is the part most partners tell us they want more of.

There are three ways Azure pays you: the margin between what you are billed and what you charge your client, rebates tied to growth targets, and Microsoft funding available across both the pre sales and post sales phases of a project.

We will walk through what is available right now and how the amounts shift depending on your client’s Azure spend and your own specialisations, so you know what questions to take to your Partner Development Manager.

3. Moving from On Premises to Azure

Then we get practical. What does a migration actually look like from start to finish?

We cover why a solution assessment comes before anything else, how to size and price a workload before you commit, and the four stage process we follow: assessment, migration planning, deployment, then handover with ongoing support.

You will also see how the same process applies to clients moving from another cloud provider or from direct billing across to a CSP model.

Who this is for

This session is built for MSPs, IT resellers and cloud partners in Australia. No Azure experience is required. If your team is already deep in Azure, come along for the incentives detail and bring your questions.
